When I wear the a garment made from Batik Butik patterns I
always get asked where I got my outfit. People are surprised
that I make my clothes and are quite impressed with the
Batik Butik pattern styles.
Not only are the patterns comfortable and stylish to wear,
but they are complimentary to the figure and are easy to
sew. The patterns also lend themselves to anyone interested
in making wearable art.

My employees
and I have used The Bali Collection patterns for beginner
and intermediate sewing classes since they were first introduced
in spring, 2002.
Popular demand has resulted in us re-ordering these
patterns frequently to satisfy our retail customers. They
are quick and easy to sew as well as comfortable and fashionable. Monique Chevassu

In the early days of The Batik Butik,
sample garments made by Frida, my friend in Bali, impressed
my customers at sewing shows. Everyone commented on how comfortable
my outfits looked and they wanted them too! Hundreds of requests
for patterns for these simple, yet elegant garments resulted
in The Bali Collection being formed in 2001. Patterns #101, 102,
103 and 104 are "Frida-inspired" but now my own
design ideas are being transformed into comfortable, yet stylish
wardrobe essentials with the help of fit expert, Kathleen Cheetham
of Petite Plus Patterns.
A member of the Independent Pattern Company Alliance (IPCA), The Bali Collection
patterns are professionally graded and multi-sized from XS-XXXL. #101, 102, 103 & 104
are "beginner friendly". Experienced sewers will
find them a quick project resulting in comfortable garments they
can either embellish or let the fabric make the statement. Thorough
guide sheets encourage beginner or novice sewers with abundant
illustrations, while Zeke (our gecko mascot) provides tips for
success with his own style of humor.
