Irm Houle Dress & Wrap

Irm Houle's friends says "she can sew anything!" and we believe it. This talented sewer from Victoria, BC needed some comfortable clothes for her vacation in the sun.

Irm chose Simplicity 9861 for this tank dress made from a couple of our now discontinued batiks.

The dress fit a little snugly across the hips so Irm cut the bodice just above the waist, added more fabric to the skirt portion and inserted a couple of pleats front and back! The result is a flattering and comfortable dress "tailor-made".

She even put the scraps to good use making a matching wrap to drape over her shoulders on those cool tropical evenings.
