trunk shows

NOTHING sells fabric and patterns like sample garments on display!

A "trunk Show" is a collection of garments shopowners may borrow for display to inspire their customers and boost sales. Trunk shows are the easiest way to promote our fabrics and patterns - the work has been done for you!

We have four trunk show collections - three for loan within the US and one for within Canada.  Each grouping has an entirely different selection of garments in it and every garment is made from our fabric and pattern line, The Bali Collection).

Plan to borrow a collection to promote a special event or sale, or to inspire students in your sewing classes.

While there is no charge for borrowing these garments, a modest selection of our patterns must be purchased. The usual loan period is two business weeks; this may be negotiable. Conditions for borrowing the garments are explained in detail in our Trunk Show Agreement.

We strongly encourage shops to contact Barb and schedule a trunk show. Barb is gracious and so easy to work with. Our customers were very enthusiastic about THE BALI COLLECTION patterns Barb has designed for her rayon batik fabrics. We had a great response to all the beginners sewing classes we taught featuring these patterns and the rayon batik fabric. We had difficulty keeping the patterns in stock, and the fabric sold itself! Don't be afraid to carry the rayon fabrics - they launder up beautifully and are easy to sew. Our home sewers loved the idea of not needing to send rayon to the dry cleaner.
